CRN Copyright Policy

  1. Members have the right to distribute internally within their company at no charge and without NRECA’s prior written approval as this is deemed a benefit of membership. Members distributing NRECA’s articles shall include the following language on each page of the document distributed:

  1. Materials explicitly indicated as for use by members’ consumers, such as Consumer Guides, may be provided by member co-ops to their consumer members at no charge and without NRECA’s prior written approval, as this is deemed a benefit of membership. Members distributing NRECA’s articles in this manner shall include the following language on each page of the document distributed:

  1. Any other member uses and non-NRECA member uses should contact NRECA prior to request permission (and pay any applicable fees for the rights to republish/distribute). All approved republication requests are to include appropriate attribution to NRECA as directed. Such copyright request should identify the title and date of the publication which is being requested to re-use. Such requests should be directed to CopyrightRequestCRN@nreca.coop. Once approved by an authorized NRECA staff member, the requestor must provide NRECA a complimentary copy of republished work for NRECA’s records. Copies of republished work shall be sent to Attn: CRN Copyright Permissions, NRECA, 4301 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA 22203.

  1. Contributors to articles, including writers and non-member subject experts, may receive a copy of the relevant article(s) for their portfolio without charge. Use of the article(s) by the writers and experts as demonstration of their work to other parties is permitted provided the article(s) are provided to recipients under this sole purpose and any further reproduction or use is according to the copyright stipulations above.

  1. Linking back to NRECA’s website, or to a specific article available on NRECA’s website can be done without prior notice or permission from NRECA.
