NRECA’s 2014 Annual Meeting is almost here! If you are attending, make sure you say hello to international guests from Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Uganda, Haiti, Bolivia and the Philippines. Highlights include:
Monday, March 3:
International Luncheon guest Edith Bueno, Administrator for the Philippines National Electric Administration, will speak about rebuilding efforts after Typhoon Haiyan.
Tuesday, March 4:
Come visit NRECA International at the NRECA Booth #738 at Tech Advantage! At 1:30pm, Mike Guidry, NRECA Director and former general manager of South Louisiana Electric Association), will share stories on his recent trip to the Philippines, where he and Martin Lowery, NRECA executive vice president, presented checks to 11 Filipino electric co-ops to provide Typhoon Haiyan relief. During this trip, they also held strategic planning sessions with the Philippines Rural Electric Cooperative Association. At 2:00pm, Mel Coleman, NRECA Board vice president, will tell you what it’s like (and what it takes) to be a volunteer for NRECA’s International Foundation.
